Director, Cost Planning

Responsibilities

• Forecast and analyze the overall Micron COGS plan, communicating insights to leadership
• Set standard costing rules and principles and adapt them to evolving business needs
• Refresh standard costs based on planning cadence and assist partners in understanding changes
• Plan manufacturing variance and analyze actual variance versus plan in partnership with accounting teams
• Plan Other Cost of Sales (OCOS) and analyze variances between actuals and forecasts

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Controlling within the manufacturing industry
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Deep and broad product-costing experience
• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically SAP

• Direct experience in standard cost setting
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform in complex, volatile environments (VUCA)
• Proven ability to build and lead highly effective, engaged teams
• Excellent written and verbal English-language communication and presentation skills
• Strong influencing skills and the ability to build interpersonal relationships based on trust
