About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead all operations of the Project Controls cost management team
  • Oversee daily team activities and mentor up to 12 staff members
  • Develop and review cost estimates and maintain historical databases
  • Analyze bid variances and represent project risks
  • Refine policies and procedures to improve cost estimating accuracy
  • Support value engineering and cost reduction initiatives
  • Advise Project Managers on design-phase estimates, schedules of values, and change order analysis
  • Drive adoption of best-in-class cost management tools and BIM-based estimating

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or business administration
  • Five years of experience in planning, administering, or expediting engineering design or construction
  • Two years of experience in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity
  • Must be permanent in the Administrative Project Manager title or on the agency's Promotional or Open-Competitive lists
  • Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States
