About the role
Responsibilities
- Shape Gilead’s enterprise editorial strategy and storytelling approach to translate complex science and innovation into compelling corporate narratives.
- Lead editorial planning, story development, and content programming across the Content Lab.
- Translate the brand platform and enterprise narrative into integrated storytelling programs across long-form, social, video, and executive communications.
- Establish and maintain a distinctive, consistent corporate voice and high editorial standards across all channels.
- Develop repeatable workflows for efficient content creation, adaptation, distribution, and performance measurement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Social Media, and Internal Communications.
- Apply audience insights and reputation intelligence to inform editorial priorities and optimize content for AI-driven search environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, OR Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, OR PhD with 8+ years of experience.
- Proven background in editorial strategy, journalism, content strategy, or corporate storytelling.
- Experience leading enterprise-level storytelling and editorial programs within healthcare, biopharma, technology, or other large, matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to translate scientific, technical, or policy-driven topics into accessible and engaging narratives.
- Experience building integrated storytelling programs, editorial calendars, and multi-channel content strategies.
- Strong understanding of digital storytelling formats, including video, social-first content, and executive thought leadership.
- Familiarity with audience analytics, modern content operations, and AI-influenced content discovery trends.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments.
