Director, Control Room Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead control room operations, crewing, and live event production for high-profile sports and entertainment events at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
• Oversee all technical aspects of the control room, including video switching, replay, graphics, audio, lighting, and system integrations.
• Partner with tenant teams, such as the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers, to align show objectives with technical execution.
• Produce original live entertainment content through detailed run-of-show development and real-time coordination of production elements.
• Manage departmental budgets, staffing, vendor relationships, and equipment utilization.
• Supervise technical crews, freelancers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution in fast-paced live environments.
• Lead production meetings, rehearsals, and post-event reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of live event or broadcast production experience.
• Proven leadership experience in a control room setting within professional sports or collegiate athletics.
• Expertise in EVS Game Editor, Ross XPression, and Kiva media control systems.
• Demonstrated success directing large-scale sports, entertainment, or arena environments.
• Strong command of run-of-show creation, scripting, and live execution.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours.
