Director, Consumer Communications

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a consumer communications strategy to build awareness and drive product adoption for Fanatics Sportsbook, Markets, Casino, and the Fanatics App
• Cultivate strong relationships with consumer, sports, tech, lifestyle, and creator press
• Proactively insert brands into cultural and sports conversations through real-time earned media and creator-led visibility
• Partner with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Compliance to align storytelling with business priorities
• Build foundational communications infrastructure including messaging frameworks and creator playbooks
• Define KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure media and influencer efforts

Requirements

• 10+ years of PR or communications experience in consumer tech, sports, gaming, entertainment, or marketplaces
• Proven track record of driving cultural relevance through earned media
• Strong media relationships across sports, consumer, lifestyle, and tech outlets
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
• Fluency in sports, entertainment, and internet culture
• Experience building communications frameworks for new products or categories
• Ability to work within regulated environments with strong judgment
• Willingness to travel regularly to events and offices
