Director, Congress Excellence Strategy Lead

Responsibilities

• Establish a clear, engaging, and actionable strategy for congress participation within the assigned therapy area
• Align congress strategies, planning, and implementation with the BMS scientific narrative and medical/brand initiatives
• Oversee the strategic implementation of unified processes and consistent end-to-end experiences for congresses
• Manage the Congress Excellence team, including budget, spend, and travel allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the Commercial & Medical Matrix and Medical Excellence teams
• Partner with external third-party vendors to optimize execution and outcomes
• Lead transformational efforts to streamline processes, tools, and procedures while upholding high standards of integrity and compliance
• Cultivate a high-performing team by promoting innovation, accountability, and a commitment to quality

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in Congress Strategy and Operations roles
• 5+ years of experience leading commercial or medical matrix teams
• Proven experience in congress management and leading event management teams or external suppliers
• Strong scientific knowledge of therapeutic and disease research areas
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
• Ability to travel approximately 15-20%
