About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Communications team for the West region, providing coaching and motivation to drive high-impact results.
- Develop and execute overarching messaging and communications strategies to drive brand engagement and media ambitions.
- Partner with marketing departments including Sports, Culture, Brand, and Field Marketing to align communication plans.
- Manage the regional communications budget and oversee all communication agencies and photographers.
- Identify and pitch compelling stories to traditional and digital media outlets to ensure "always on" brand presence.
- Act as the regional Media Captain for marketing events and activations, defining objectives, goals, and tactics.
- Provide consumer media insights and reporting to adapt plans to local media consumption habits.
- Manage crisis communications in coordination with national leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading strategic communications for a major brand or complex organization at a senior level.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing and coaching high-performing teams.
- Extensive experience working with media executives to execute complex communication strategies.
- Deep knowledge of both traditional and digital media landscapes and consumer behavior.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills across media, digital platforms, and entertainment sectors.
- Strong project management and creative storytelling skills.
- Ability to travel 40-50% as required by the role.
