About the Company

Bay FC is the first NWSL team in the Bay Area. Co-founded by four U.S. Women’s National Team legends in partnership with global investment firm Sixth Street, Bay FC is changing the face of women’s soccer. We are building a culture of belonging and shared pride, representing the diverse communities of the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Build and drive Bay FC's business communications strategy including corporate partnerships, community impact, and brand campaigns
• Identify storylines, cultivate media relationships, and land earned coverage with business, lifestyle, and culture journalists
• Write press releases, executive speeches, internal updates, owner briefings, and talking points
• Support executive thought leadership via LinkedIn content, panel prep, and public remarks
• Partner with Marketing and Social teams to amplify stories across all channels
• Manage internal communications including All-Hands meetings and organizational updates
• Monitor media coverage and trends in women's sports and the Bay Area market
• Support crisis communications and issues management

Requirements

• 7+ years in PR, corporate communications, or media relations
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a sharp eye for brand voice
• Proven ability to develop storylines and pitch reporters for media coverage
• Experience with executive communications, strategic planning, and crisis management
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Passion for women's sports and the Bay FC mission
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the sports schedule
