About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue by owning the full commercial sales cycle across Europe, from prospecting to closing.
- Hunt and develop new business with commercial satellite operators, emerging space companies, defense primes, and technology integrators.
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline, prioritizing opportunities and positioning Loft as a strategic partner.
- Lead commercial proposals and bid responses in coordination with technical and commercial teams.
- Negotiate contracts, including pricing, terms, and deal structures.
- Engage institutional customers (such as CNES, DLR, and UKSA) where they intersect with commercial opportunities.
- Represent Loft at industry events and trade shows to build brand awareness and professional networks.
- Provide market intelligence regarding customer needs and competitor activity.
Requirements
- 7+ years of commercial sales and business development experience in the space or aerospace industry.
- An existing commercial network within the European space or aerospace ecosystem.
- A proven track record of closing signed contracts with commercial customers.
- Experience managing long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Technical fluency in space systems or satellite technology to engage effectively with engineers and technical buyers.
- Strong negotiation and proposal skills, including experience with pricing and contract structures.
- Bilingual fluency in English and at least one other European language.
- Must be based in Europe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a startup or NewSpace company environment.
- Familiarity with satellite systems, mission operations, or space software.
- Experience navigating both commercial and institutional customer landscapes.
