Responsibilities

• Set the infrastructure strategy for Sanity's next stage of scale, covering reliability, deployment, observability, security, and cost.
• Lead teams responsible for shared foundations including GCP, Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Define the operational boundary between Platform and SRE teams.
• Raise the reliability bar through improved dashboards, alert standards, and incident response protocols.
• Drive deployment excellence by creating clear golden paths and production readiness automation.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders on uptime, latency, scale, and compliance.
• Manage cloud cost discipline and visibility.
• Shape long-term architecture for multi-region scale, disaster recovery, and data residency.
• Hire, coach, and develop infrastructure leaders and engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading Infrastructure, Platform, SRE, or Cloud teams in a scaling SaaS or developer-tools company.
• Experience operating high-volume, multi-region production systems with strict uptime requirements.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, GCP or AWS, Terraform, networking, API gateways, and CI/CD.
• Ability to engage in deep technical architectural debates with senior engineers.
• Experience managing managers or senior technical leads.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with executives and customer-facing teams.
