About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the client implementation process from sales handoff through transition into active delivery
  • Coordinate with Sales, Portfolio Managers, and internal teams to ensure implementation plans meet client needs
  • Manage internal client transitions between portfolios to ensure continuity and clean handoffs
  • Review client books, workflows, and accounting systems to identify cleanup needs or system setup problems
  • Coordinate setup for client-facing tools such as QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Bill.com, and Rippling
  • Manage and support the implementation team, including Client Systems Specialists and Project Coordinators
  • Improve documentation, checklists, and workflows to reduce reliance on informal knowledge transfer
  • Identify recurring bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance service quality and profitability

Requirements

  • Strong accounting knowledge and practical experience with client financial operations
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting or finance tools
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple implementations simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across Sales, Delivery, and Technology teams
  • Ability to identify risks early and drive resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, controller, client service, or implementation experience
  • Experience in outsourced accounting, CAS, or professional services
  • Experience leading client onboarding, implementation, or account transitions
  • Experience managing direct reports or coordinating a small team
  • Familiarity with tools such as Ramp, Bill.com, or Rippling
  • CPA or controller-level experience
