Director, Civil and Building Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the progression from Site Plan and Conceptual Design through to Detailed Design for large-scale dairy beverage projects
• Direct the engineering of all civil, architectural, structural, and wastewater workstreams
• Own procurement strategy including selection and contract negotiation of A&E firms and General Contractors
• Facilitate collaboration between Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Technical stakeholders
• Manage the General Contractor for on-site safety, quality control, and adherence to schedule and budget
• Coordinate with external utility providers for power, water, and gas infrastructure
• Serve as the primary liaison with City/Town officials for zoning and permitting

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
• 15+ years of experience delivering capital projects in large-scale food and beverage plants
• Strong knowledge of building services and systems
• Proven experience in cost management, forecasting, and budget oversight
• Deep understanding of the engineering project life cycle
• Strong leadership and cross-functional team management skills
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
