About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of CIFF India's Social Protection strategy as a core pillar of the Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC) Mission.
  • Shape investment priorities by identifying structural drivers of child vulnerability and opportunities to strengthen household resilience.
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of investments and partnerships aligned with CIFF's impact objectives.
  • Oversee the design, approval, and implementation of investments, ensuring strategic alignment, value for money, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships across government, philanthropy, civil society, and research institutions.
  • Support government decision-making through evidence-based technical engagement to enable the scaling of effective approaches.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of specialist analysts and managers.

Requirements

  • Significant leadership experience in social security programmes, economic resilience, or related fields.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the development sector in India.
  • Demonstrated ability to redesign or scale programmes and systems using first-principles thinking and systems analysis.
  • Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to drive delivery with minimal oversight.
  • High analytical and problem-solving capability to interrogate complex systems and identify root causes.
  • Excellent diplomacy and influencing skills to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and build trust with government actors.
  • High level of financial literacy and experience using cost-benefit or ROI methodologies.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous, and evolving environments.
