Director Centro Universitario

Responsibilities

• Serve as the chief executive officer of the University Center
• Direct external fund searches from state and federal agencies for teaching and research improvement
• Develop and maintain academic programs, student services, and administrative programs
• Promote the achievement of institutional Vision, Mission, and Strategic Goals
• Coordinate effective communication with administration, faculty, students, and the community
• Supervise and direct teaching and non-teaching staff
• Prepare and present the annual work plan and budget to the President
• Implement faculty evaluation processes and academic program development
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and institutional policies
• Represent the University Center before the community and relevant organizations

Requirements

• Doctorate from an accredited institution
• 3 to 5 years of experience in similar leadership functions
• Bilingual proficiency
• Experience supervising personnel
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Datatel
• Knowledge of Distance Education
• Availability for extended/flexible hours and travel within and outside Puerto Rico
