Director, Centralized Study Support

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to a large, multi-layered Centralized Study Support (CSS) organization
• Set the vision, priorities, and long-term operating model for centralized study support in alignment with Global Development Operations
• Oversee resource forecasting, allocation, and capacity planning for CSS roles across clinical programs
• Lead, coach, and develop senior managers and managers to strengthen leadership capability and succession readiness
• Manage FSP partnerships to ensure external capacity and performance align with business needs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, tools, and systems, including the use of AI and automation
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards while mitigating operational risks

Requirements

• Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree with 18+ years of professional experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience directly managing people or leading large teams, programs, or organizational change
• Proven experience in capacity forecasting, prioritization of demand, and resource allocation across a global portfolio
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the life sciences industry, specifically within biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments
• Experience building high-performance teams from inception and fostering an inclusive culture
• Demonstrated success in overseeing complex resourcing and optimizing deployment across global portfolios
• Experience leading large-scale continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives
