About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead team members to design and develop next-generation batteries
- Manage product development through concept, design, and validation (CV, DV, PV)
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Execute Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and root cause analysis for design improvements
- Oversee cell bill of materials, cell drawings, and design-for-cost initiatives
- Support scale-up and mass production of Quasi-Solid State (FEST) Batteries
- Collaborate with internal customers, external suppliers, and production teams
- Provide engineering support to resolve production and quality issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in silicon or Li metal chemistry lithium-ion battery product development
- Mandatory experience in silicon cell development
- 2+ years of management or leadership experience
- Experience in mass production of lithium batteries
- Proficiency in English (written and basic verbal)
- Ability to work on-site in Cheonan, South Korea with occasional late-night overlap with the US team
