Director, Cell Product Development

Responsibilities

• Lead team members to design and develop next-generation batteries
• Manage product development through concept, design, and validation (CV, DV, PV)
• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Execute Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and root cause analysis for design improvements
• Oversee cell bill of materials, cell drawings, and design-for-cost initiatives
• Support scale-up and mass production of Quasi-Solid State (FEST) Batteries
• Collaborate with internal customers, external suppliers, and production teams
• Provide engineering support to resolve production and quality issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in silicon or Li metal chemistry lithium-ion battery product development
• Mandatory experience in silicon cell development
• 2+ years of management or leadership experience
• Experience in mass production of lithium batteries
• Proficiency in English (written and basic verbal)
• Ability to work on-site in Cheonan, South Korea with occasional late-night overlap with the US team
