Director, Catering and Conference Services

Responsibilities

• Oversee the functions of Catering and Conference Services, ensuring seamless execution from booking to completion.
• Supervise, train, and motivate a diverse team of full-time, part-time, and student employees.
• Manage departmental revenue and expenses, including budget forecasting and menu pricing strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors and service providers.
• Oversee marketing and sales initiatives, including social media, websites, and print media.
• Manage facility logistics for the John C. Myers Convocation Center and football stadium loge.
• Coordinate with cross-functional university departments to book and execute camps and conferences.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and manage catering liquor licenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven experience in catering, conference services, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse constituent groups.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServSafe certification.
