Director, Business Systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee data systems, reporting, training, outreach, and communication functions for Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA).
• Streamline and document internal business processes with an emphasis on developing and maintaining grants management systems.
• Manage a team of analysts and report developers to drive data quality and user experience.
• Serve as the primary liaison for data system matters between enterprise CUIT, Finance, Procurement, and various departmental stakeholders.
• Lead end-to-end testing, release, and change management, including establishing UAT/regression strategies and coordinating cutovers.
• Define quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity and monitor department performance metrics.
• Align roadmaps and services to deliver reliable systems and high-quality reporting for the research community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Ten years of related professional experience.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of accounting and grants management business practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Detailed knowledge of grants management software systems.
