Director, Business Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead Pelago's shift to an AI-native operating model and serve as the internal product manager for the AI agent platform.
• Build repeatable AI-powered workflows across the business and maintain a sharp view of the evolving AI landscape.
• Own KPI and OKR governance, building accountability structures and analytical frameworks for high-stakes decision-making.
• Drive high-leverage strategic projects from framing through execution, particularly those that are cross-functional.
• Diagnose root causes of complexity or underperformance in various business areas and drive them to resolution.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a high-bar BizOps role at a growth-stage company.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong systems thinking and business acumen, with a deep understanding of how financials connect to operating levers.
• Data proficiency, including experience using SQL and BI tools to structure and run analyses.
• AI-native mindset with experience in prompt engineering and building AI-driven workflows.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and individual contributors without formal authority.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare or digital health industry.
• Genuine curiosity about the intersection of clinical expertise and technology.
