Director, Business Development

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of experienced sellers within the Midwest region
• Act as a player-coach to drive portfolio growth and net-new revenue through strategic account planning
• Establish a culture of accountability, focusing on pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined execution
• Coach team members on outbound strategy, deal prioritization, and objection handling
• Design and evolve scalable outbound processes, sales playbooks, and pipeline frameworks
• Serve as a strategic escalation point for complex opportunities and high-impact executive negotiations

Requirements

• Proven experience managing and developing sales talent, including leadership of multi-person teams
• Strong track record in high-volume outbound sales within online advertising or digital media environments
• Established relationships with senior decision-makers at major agencies and advertisers
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to guide teams through complex commercial considerations
• Executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence C-level clients and internal stakeholders
• Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, DSP, or similar organization
