Director, Business Development

Responsibilities

• Lead sales strategy and manage the end-to-end sales process to expand the client base in Japan
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers and develop deep knowledge of customer organizations
• Analyze potential opportunities and develop detailed business plans and sales strategies
• Identify and respond to customer needs to define potential PSI opportunities and propose appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with Operations and Proposal Development groups to prepare presentations, finalize pricing, and develop proposals
• Manage the hand-off process to project teams, ensuring all customer needs and expectations are transferred
• Monitor customer satisfaction through regular surveys and coordinate with Project Managers to address any concerns or issues
• Proactively address changes in scope and negotiate appropriately with customers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Health Science or equivalent professional qualifications
• 5-8 years of business development experience within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or healthcare service provider
• Full professional proficiency in both English and Japanese
• Advanced proficiency with Salesforce
• Demonstrated excellence in strategic communication, cross-functional collaboration, and analytical problem-solving
• Ability and willingness to travel as required for business development activities
