About the role

Responsibilities

  • Source, structure, and close commercial partnerships with regional acquirers, fintech wallets, and gift card providers across Mexico and LATAM.
  • Negotiate complex commercial terms including pricing, consumer incentives, and volume-based rebates.
  • Develop and execute partner-funded promotional programs to drive consumer purchase penetration.
  • Build and defend business cases with clear P&L impact, including revenue impact and ROI on consumer incentives.
  • Codify partnership models and go-to-market playbooks to enable expansion into Brazil and other international markets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Advertising teams to ensure seamless technical and commercial integrations.
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with regional fintech leaders and banking partners.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial roles within payments or fintech.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of LATAM payments ecosystems, including local wallets, cash-based methods, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Proven track record of closing complex commercial agreements within matrixed organizations.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English.
  • BA/BS degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Portuguese.
  • Significant experience in the Mexican fintech market.
  • Experience building scalable partnership frameworks for emerging markets.
