Director – Broking

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and servicing of insurance needs for key Financial Institutions, including major Japanese, Canadian, and European banks.
• Advise clients on the structuring, placement, and management of international credit and political risk insurance programs.
• Manage day-to-day global accounts, arranging placements for bank nonpayment, project finance, political violence, and carbon risks.
• Execute strategic plans to expand WTW’s presence among Export Credit Agencies, Development Banks, and Private Credit Funds.
• Coordinate cross-border placements between New York and London, ensuring alignment between U.S. and international insurance markets.
• Strengthen relationships with U.S. and international insurers and educate U.S. markets on complex international structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, International Business, or a related field (Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience is also accepted).
• 8 years of experience in structuring, negotiating, and placing complex Political Risk and Structured Credit Insurance.
• 5 years of experience working directly with International Finance Institutions and a thorough understanding of Basel-related regulatory issues.
• Deep expertise in global credit and political risk markets, specifically Lloyd’s of London and specialty London market insurers.
• Proven experience coordinating cross-border placements between New York and London.
• Knowledge of New York and English law insurance wordings and dual jurisdiction policy structures.
