Director, Asset Protection and Safety

Responsibilities

• Lead the EMEA Asset Protection & Safety strategy, establishing a unified operating model across health and safety, physical security, and asset protection.
• Embed safety into operational design by partnering with Operations, Real Estate, Legal, and Product teams to ensure proactive risk mitigation.
• Drive step-change improvements in loss prevention by using data and analytics to reduce shrink, theft, and damage.
• Own physical security across the fulfillment network, including access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems.
• Build and lead high-performing regional teams, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage multi-million dollar budgets and vendor strategies to ensure investments align with risk and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Ensure global compliance and regulatory alignment with occupational health and safety standards across all EMEA markets.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in asset protection, safety, loss prevention, or security operations.
• Proven experience leading leaders within multi-site, multinational environments.
• Deep domain expertise in logistics, fulfillment, warehouse, or last-mile environments.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable improvements in safety performance and shrink reduction.
• Strong technical orientation with experience using physical security systems and data-driven tools.
• Extensive experience in investigations, risk management, and root cause analysis.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale budgets and complex vendor relationships.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in high-ambiguity environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling functions within high-growth, global marketplace organizations.
• Familiarity with leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve detection and operational efficiency.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally (approximately 24% to 40%) to support EMEA operations.
