Director Architecture

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture strategy and governance for a large-scale, multi-cloud data and platform transformation program.
• Define and drive architecture standards, patterns, and best practices to ensure scalability and reusability.
• Oversee end-to-end solution architecture across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
• Drive the design and evolution of modern data platforms using Snowflake, Databricks, and lakehouse/data mesh architectures.
• Enable advanced analytics, AI/ML, and automation capabilities across the data lifecycle.
• Lead cost optimization initiatives and FinOps practices to manage compute, storage, and orchestration efficiency.
• Partner with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
• Mentor engineering and architecture teams, promoting technical excellence and strong decision-making.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, or large-scale platform roles.
• Proven experience designing and delivering solutions in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong expertise in modern data platforms, specifically Snowflake and Databricks.
• Deep understanding of data architecture, including data warehousing, lakehouse, and integration patterns.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, distributed systems, and cloud-native platform design.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence both technical and business teams.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience enabling AI/ML platforms and automation within a data lifecycle.
• Proven track record of building scalable platforms, reusable frameworks, or shared services.
• Experience implementing a data-as-a-product model.
