About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Ann Graves Child Development Center
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for infants through preschoolers
  • Lead licensing compliance, health and safety practices, and required documentation
  • Recruit, supervise, coach, and retain qualified early childhood staff
  • Support curriculum implementation, classroom quality, and child developmental progress
  • Build strong family partnerships and manage enrollment, communication, and engagement
  • Develop and monitor the CDC budget, expenses, purchasing, and resource planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Texas Child Care Center Director license or eligibility to serve in that role
  • 5+ years of childcare leadership experience in a center, preschool, or similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing regulations and minimum standards
  • Experience with budgeting, staffing, enrollment management, and operational oversight
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to pass required background and screening checks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in an independent school or mission-driven educational environment
  • Familiarity with play-based early childhood programming and NAC accreditation standards
  • Demonstrated success developing staff leadership and team culture
