About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Ann Graves Child Development Center
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for infants through preschoolers
- Lead licensing compliance, health and safety practices, and required documentation
- Recruit, supervise, coach, and retain qualified early childhood staff
- Support curriculum implementation, classroom quality, and child developmental progress
- Build strong family partnerships and manage enrollment, communication, and engagement
- Develop and monitor the CDC budget, expenses, purchasing, and resource planning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Texas Child Care Center Director license or eligibility to serve in that role
- 5+ years of childcare leadership experience in a center, preschool, or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing regulations and minimum standards
- Experience with budgeting, staffing, enrollment management, and operational oversight
- Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to pass required background and screening checks
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field
- Experience in an independent school or mission-driven educational environment
- Familiarity with play-based early childhood programming and NAC accreditation standards
- Demonstrated success developing staff leadership and team culture
