About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple teams of data science and analytics engineers, overseeing both direct and indirect reports.
- Establish technical rigor, culture, and operating rhythms to drive business outcomes for Gracenote.
- Lead initiatives in core data science, NLP, computer vision, and MLOps.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of machine learning models, AI/LLM solutions, and data pipelines in production.
- Drive research initiatives to improve statistical sampling, predictive analytics, and prescriptive methodologies.
- Utilize GenAI tools to build and deploy Agentic RAG systems, Small Language Models (SLMs), and content summarization workflows.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning while maintaining high employee retention and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.).
- 13+ years of experience in Data Science, AI, deep learning, and statistics.
- 10+ years of experience with statistical coding languages including Python, Spark, SAS, R, Scala, or SQL.
- 3-5 years of experience working in cloud-based environments, ideally AWS.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI techniques, including RAG, SLMs, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning models.
- Proven experience with NLP and Computer Vision frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV).
- Strong track record in team building and managing complex technical organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of market research methodologies and media consumption trends.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Experience with low-code/no-code tools like Alteryx.
- Familiarity with MLOps and the Product Development Lifecycle.
