About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple teams of data science and analytics engineers, overseeing both direct and indirect reports.
  • Establish technical rigor, culture, and operating rhythms to drive business outcomes for the Gracenote organization.
  • Lead high-impact initiatives in NLP, computer vision, and core data science, including statistical modeling and machine learning.
  • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of machine learning models, AI/LLM solutions, and data pipelines in production.
  • Utilize GenAI tools to build and deploy Agentic RAG systems, Small Language Models (SLMs), and content summarization workflows.
  • Drive research initiatives to improve statistical sampling, predictive analytics, and market research methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning while maintaining high employee retention and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.).
  • 13+ years of experience in Data Science, AI, deep learning, and statistics.
  • 10+ years of experience with statistical coding languages including Python, Spark, SAS, R, Scala, or SQL.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in cloud-based environments, specifically AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI techniques, including RAG, SLMs, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning models.
  • Proven experience with NLP frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, SpaCy) and Computer Vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Strong track record in team building and managing global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of market research methodologies and media consumption trends.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code tools like Alteryx.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and the Product Development Lifecycle.
