Director, AI Compute Strategy & Partnerships

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic partnerships with NVIDIA and other leading AI organizations, managing contract structures, equity investments, and technical optimizations.
• Serve as the primary negotiator for major cloud computing and AI infrastructure deals to secure high-end compute capacity at competitive rates.
• Partner with ML Engineering to forecast compute requirements for foundation model training, synthetic data generation, and industrial-scale inference.
• Evaluate the AI computing market to assess trade-offs in cost, reliability, and availability across cloud providers.
• Drive the internal budget process for compute spend, translating capacity plans into long-range financial models and capital allocation recommendations.
• Prepare high-level materials and pitch decks articulating the company's platform vision for potential AI partners and investors.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industrial experience in external-facing strategic roles, such as business development at high-growth AI organizations or venture capital/consulting working with AI leaders.
• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-year, multi-million dollar AI compute negotiations.
• Advanced degree (MBA or STEM field) from a top institution, or equivalent industrial experience.
• Expert-level financial modeling skills with experience in strategic capacity planning and complex commitment models.
• Deep technical fluency in the AI computing landscape, including GPU/TPU architectures and high-performance networking.
• Exceptional executive-level communication and presentation skills.
