Director, Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own the Global General Ledger and financial close process, ensuring completeness and accuracy under US GAAP across all worldwide entities
• Build and lead a scalable end-to-end close operating model, setting standards and driving consistency across the function
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical accounting matters, including research and documentation of positions under ASC 606
• Drive the continuous improvement agenda by simplifying, standardizing, and automating close processes through AI and enabling technology
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals, building technical capability and succession depth
• Partner with Finance, Enterprise Systems, and commercial business partners to provide critical accounting insights and support business growth

Requirements

• Fully-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
• Significant post-qualification experience in financial accounting leadership
• Full General Ledger accountability within a complex, multi-entity, global business
• Proven track record of leading and developing teams of qualified accountants and people managers
• Deep technical grounding in US GAAP and experience with complex revenue recognition

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving systems transformation and process automation within a finance function
• Ability to navigate fast-paced, global environments and manage communications across multiple time zones
