Director, Accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting matters, accounting policies, and the adoption of new accounting standards.
• Drive the accounting team’s commitment to timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and banking regulations.
• Oversee the monthly close processes for retail and commercial accounting teams, including Eaglemark Savings Bank.
• Manage financial and regulatory audits, including interactions with state and federal banking regulators such as the FDIC.
• Lead capital management and reporting, including cash forecasting and managing finance receivables.
• Oversee enhancements to loan management systems and perform system upgrade testing.
• Provide leadership and development to accounting staff and account servicing teams.

Requirements

• CPA certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 12+ years of related experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting concepts.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and experience with state and federal regulatory reporting.
• Proven experience in capital management, interest rate risk reviews, or treasury management activities.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing professional staff.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
