About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Academic Planning and Analysis team to support the University's long-term budget and institutional goals
- Oversee the academic budget allocation model and manage the Provost’s annual academic budget review process
- Provide expert analysis and advice on academic budgeting, enrolment planning, and resource allocation to senior leaders and Deans
- Manage provincial funding processes, including government operating grants, enrolment funding, and annual budget preparation
- Liaise with Government Relations to support institutional responses to tuition frameworks, student aid decisions, and emerging legislation
- Translate complex financial and analytical concepts into meaningful insights for strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or an equivalent field
- Professional Accounting designation or a Master's degree
- 7-10 years of senior-level experience within a complex higher education environment
- Expertise in enrolment management, academic budgeting, and financial strategy
- Proficiency with FIS, HRIS, and the ROSI student system
- Strong experience in report writing, delivering presentations, and negotiating complex financial agreements
- Advanced skills in MS Office, Tableau, and Power BI
