About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate directional boring machines to install pipelines, cables, and other utility lines underground
- Conduct pre-operational checks and perform necessary maintenance on directional drilling equipment
- Read and interpret plans, maps, and specifications to determine drilling locations
- Monitor drilling progress and adjust operations to meet project specifications
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and procedures
- Collaborate with crew members and provide training to junior staff
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Directional Bore Operator
- 2-4 years of experience operating directional boring equipment in construction or utility installation
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain directional drilling equipment safely
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
