Responsibilities

• Manage a team of professionals responsible for translating legal, financial, and general documents from English to French.
• Assign translation tasks and establish project priorities to maximize internal capacity and efficiency.
• Review translated texts from team members and external agencies to ensure high quality and accuracy.
• Provide continuous training, coaching, and performance evaluations for team members.
• Collaborate with project management specialists to manage workflows, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure high-quality service to internal clients by meeting or exceeding service level agreements.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience, preferably within financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation.
• Full fluency in both French and English (required for regular collaboration with Toronto-based teams).
• Proven leadership experience managing translation teams.
• Proficiency with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

• Membership with OTTIAQ.
• Knowledge of banking products and services.
