Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred, 1-2 years work experience if no diploma, Valid LA driver's license, Cell phone with data plan, Ability to lift and perform heavy activity
About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support for program participants including hygiene, chores, and outings
- Maintain a caring and safe environment for participants
- Develop and implement service plans with families and case managers
- Practice preventative safety and health care techniques
- Train participants in life skills such as cooking, chores, and budgeting
- Document outcomes and methods per ISP or Behavior Management
- Drive participants to and from their homes or other locations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years of verified work experience if no high school diploma
- Valid LA driver's license
- Cell phone with data plan
- Ability to perform heavy physical activity including lifting and prolonged standing
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
