Responsibilities
- Assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and build community relationships
- Follow Individual Support Plans (ISP) and protocols to meet medical and physical needs
- Document medical records, updates, and financial transactions accurately
- Advocate for supported individuals and assist them in meeting personal goals and objectives
- Ensure household safety and communicate maintenance needs
- Coordinate and develop social and recreational activities
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal history check
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and good driving record
- Ability to perform light to moderate lifting and push wheelchairs
- Ability to work specific shifts (Mon & Sat 8:00p-9:00a)
- Female staffing required for this specific shift
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a care provider
- Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- Associate degree in Human Development, Psychology, or a related field
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
