Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)
• Lead life enrichment workshops including art, music, games, reading, and cooking
• Teach daily life skills such as money management and community volunteering to foster independence
• Provide direct care support, personal care assistance, and behavioral interventions
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as needed
• Document daily progress and outcomes within the electronic documentation system

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience working with individuals with I/DD
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company van
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities
