About the Company
The Arc of Greater New Orleans (ArcGNO) is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives. Since 1953, ArcGNO has provided advocacy, education, and support services to individuals and families across Jefferson, Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, and St. Tammany parishes.
Responsibilities
- Train and supervise assigned participants regarding work, community access, and volunteerism
- Assist in planning and developing methods for implementing individual programs
- Submit initial and continuous annual assessments on participant progress
- Implement and document outcomes per ISP and/or Behavior Management
- Complete all service documentation including attendance and interaction logs
- Transport participants to designated locations following safety guidelines
- Drive morning or afternoon routes for participant pick-up and drop-off
Requirements
- GED or High School Diploma
- Valid LA Drivers License and auto insurance
- Reliable transportation that passes agency inspection
- Ability to collaborate with participants, families, and colleagues
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services or a related discipline
- Previous experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities
