Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in building confidence, self-esteem, and independence through planned activities and community involvement
• Provide individualized supports, including personal care and skill development
• Participate in Person-Centered Planning and the implementation of individual goals
• Complete required documentation, including data collection and monthly progress notes
• Maintain compliance with required state and agency trainings
• Report safety, health, or human rights concerns immediately

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle during work hours
• Proof of automobile insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and pushing wheelchairs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in human services or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
