Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with planned activities, community involvement, and social inclusion opportunities
• Provide individualized supports including personal care, hygiene, bathing, and dental care
• Support individuals in building meaningful personal and community relationships to promote self-esteem
• Assist with person-centered planning and the implementation of individual goals
• Complete required documentation, data collection, and progress notes
• Administer medications in accordance with applicable regulations
• Report any safety, health, or human rights concerns immediately
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Proof of automobile insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with physical transfers
• Ability to work in a day program setting with occasional outdoor activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in human services or a related field supporting individuals with disabilities
