Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISP) for each participant
• Record daily service notes and required documentation
• Establish a secure, positive environment that nurtures individual needs and goals
• Facilitate community inclusion through various experiences and activities
• Promote independence in daily living, learning, leisure, and volunteer opportunities
• Provide high-quality care to help individuals meet their personal needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license held for at least two years and access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to lift, transfer, push, or pull individuals and objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass background checks, physical examinations, and clearances
• One year of direct care experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
• Ability to provide personal care and teach basic daily living skills
