About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide creative support and community engagement for adults with developmental disabilities and Autism
  • Assist individuals in their homes or natural family homes to maintain independence and quality of life
  • Implement approved interventions and plans of care, including emotional support and positive reinforcement
  • Utilize safe crisis management techniques when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate case notes for individuals served
  • Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle during work hours
  • Minimum of two years of U.S. driver's license history
  • Ability to provide personal care and assist with daily living skills
  • Ability to pass required background checks, physical examinations, and clearances
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and assist individuals with mobility needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of direct care experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
