Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Provide creative support and community engagement for adults with developmental disabilities and Autism
• Assist individuals with daily living skills and personal care in their homes or natural family settings
• Implement approved interventions, including emotional support, positive reinforcement, and safe crisis management
• Maintain accurate and precise case notes regarding the individuals served
• Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable access to a personal vehicle
• Ability to transport individuals in your personal vehicle and maintain an acceptable driving record
• Ability to provide personal care and assist individuals with physical needs
• Successful completion of background checks, physical examinations, and required clearances
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of direct care experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
