About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including grooming, healthcare, dietary needs, and emotional support
- Communicate medical concerns and daily progress clearly in writing
- Promote community engagement and outside activities for residents
- Perform household duties such as meal planning, preparation, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Work with clients to achieve Individual Service Plan (ISP) outcomes
- Ensure resident safety in both home and community environments
Requirements
- Valid US driver's license held for at least two years
- Access to a reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance
- Ability to pass background checks and physical examinations
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and assisting individuals who have fallen
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of direct care experience in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities is desired
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with behavior management and program planning principles
- Proficiency in using workplace applications and digital platforms
