Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including grooming, healthcare, dietary needs, and emotional support
• Communicate medical concerns and daily progress clearly in writing
• Promote community engagement and outside activities for residents
• Perform household duties such as meal planning, preparation, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
• Work with clients to achieve Individual Service Plan (ISP) outcomes
• Ensure resident safety in both home and community environments

Requirements

• Valid US driver's license held for at least two years
• Access to a reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks and physical examinations
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and assisting individuals who have fallen
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year of direct care experience in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities is desired

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with behavior management and program planning principles
• Proficiency in using workplace applications and digital platforms
