About the role
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Abbott medical devices to physicians, medical laboratories, distributors, and hospitals within an assigned territory.
- Educate clients and potential customers on company products, addressing technical questions and concerns.
- Build and execute strategic business plans to identify, target, and develop new accounts.
- Provide medical professionals with product training, including staff in-services and technical troubleshooting.
- Manage physical inventory within the assigned territory and ensure accurate patient information documentation.
- Monitor competitor activity, including sales, pricing, and new product developments.
- Analyze sales statistics and prepare administrative reports, expense accounts, and travel plans.
- Attend trade shows and conferences to showcase new technologies and engage with industry clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent.
- 2+ years of sales or clinical support experience with a proven track record of influencing customers in healthcare settings.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex medical devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, hospital administrators, and medical groups.
- Proficiency with personal computer programs and relevant business applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with Abbott cardiac products.
