About the role

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Abbott medical devices to physicians, medical laboratories, distributors, and hospitals within an assigned territory.
  • Educate clients and potential customers on company products, addressing technical questions and concerns.
  • Build and execute strategic business plans to identify, target, and develop new accounts.
  • Provide medical professionals with product training, including staff in-services and technical troubleshooting.
  • Manage physical inventory within the assigned territory and ensure accurate patient information documentation.
  • Monitor competitor activity, including sales, pricing, and new product developments.
  • Analyze sales statistics and prepare administrative reports, expense accounts, and travel plans.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to showcase new technologies and engage with industry clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of sales or clinical support experience with a proven track record of influencing customers in healthcare settings.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex medical devices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, hospital administrators, and medical groups.
  • Proficiency with personal computer programs and relevant business applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with Abbott cardiac products.
