About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify and audit suppliers for parts and services
- Lead sourcing strategy presentations in multi-level committees
- Develop sourcing strategies for assigned metal commodities to meet price and tooling targets
- Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and nomination agreements
- Act as program manager during pre-production to ensure timing, cost, and quality requirements
- Evaluate technical changes to parts and services
- Lead cross-functional evaluation of supplier mass-production preparedness
- Manage supplier relationships and performance through key metrics
Requirements
- 4+ years in purchasing with commodity strategy experience
- Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Direct Purchasing negotiation experience
- Metal commodity knowledge (e.g., Ladder Frame, Stampings, Castings, Forgings, Steel/Aluminum Coils)
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing industries
- Proven ability in supplier performance and program management
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
