About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify and audit suppliers for parts and services
- Establish sourcing strategies and business plans for interior commodities and high-value plastic assemblies
- Lead sourcing process presentations to multi-level committees
- Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and nomination agreements
- Act as program manager during pre-production to ensure timing, cost, and quality requirements are met
- Evaluate technical changes to parts and services
- Lead cross-functional evaluations of supplier mass-production preparedness
- Manage supplier relationships and performance through key metrics
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in a purchasing environment
- Experience developing and executing procurement commodity strategies
- Effective negotiation experience in automotive interior commodity purchasing
- Thorough knowledge of automotive or manufacturing industries
- Experience managing supplier performance and program management
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
