Direct Procurement Buyer

Responsibilities

• Plan, optimize, and oversee category strategies to maximize profitability and meet customer needs.
• Execute day-to-day sourcing activities, including launching RFx, analyzing offers using TCO approaches, and negotiating contracts.
• Manage contract implementation, ensuring compliance, tracking successful deployment, and managing price escalation formulas and volume rebates.
• Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities, including supplier audits, performance evaluations, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify TCO reduction opportunities and boost the influence of the procurement function.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities for POs and implementing corrective actions for contract compliance.
• Provide periodic reporting on sourcing action plans, actual savings, and projected targets to management.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement or category management within a mid-sized or large-scale organization.
• Proficiency in AI tools and digital productivity applications.
• Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural/international team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or certification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Global Sourcing.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or Coupa.
• Experience with e-RFQ processes and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
