Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the establishment and leadership of a surgical department
• Provide expert care and perform surgeries, particularly for complex and difficult cases
• Independently manage and treat complex surgical cases
• Contribute surgical expertise to the clinic's overall medical standards
• Act as a point of contact for clinical questions and differential diagnoses
• Supervise and train junior assistant veterinarians

Requirements

• ECVS/ACVS Diplomate recognition
• Extensive professional experience in the field of surgery
• Profound knowledge in soft tissue surgery and thoracic surgery
• Experience in orthopedic surgery, arthroscopy, and joint surgery
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster interdisciplinary collaboration
• Empathy and excellent communication skills with patients, owners, and referring colleagues
