Dining Service Attendant

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in a professional and pleasant manner
• Stock counters, serving areas, and replenish food and beverage items
• Prepare food items and assist with recipe preparation as directed
• Wash and properly store dishes, trays, utensils, cups, pots, and pans
• Maintain workstations and equipment to meet cleanliness and food safety standards
• Assist with processing GET orders, including reading tickets and managing condiments and packaging

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and use finger dexterity for up to 4 hours
• Ability to work in environments with temperature extremes, loud noise, and wet floors
• Ability to visually differentiate colors for food safety purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of experience working in food service
• Proven experience in customer service and assisting guests
• Experience working with students and a diverse, multicultural staff and customer base
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
